Eefting Energy recently received two new orders from Shipyard Ferus Smit. The ordered fuel efficiency monitoring systems are intended for two 4250-deadweight product tankers for Thun Tankers.
The first tanker will be delivered October 2020. The vessel will be built with “NAABSA” design - “Not Always Afloat But Safely Aground” - being able to call tidal restricted niche ports. Shipyard Ferus Smit has previously built more than thirty-five vessels for the Erik Thun Group, of which the last 6 have all been equipped with an Eefting Energy Fuel Oil Monitoring system.
We are grateful that Scheepswerf Ferus Smit B.V and Thun Tankers chose once more for the Eefting Energy systems. The fuel efficiency monitoring sytems will increase the crew’s awareness on fuel oil consumption and other ship efficiencies, supported by various tools and graphical screens. With these insights, savings in fuel oil consumption and operational costs will be accomplished.
